Many of the women and men who visit Dr. Reuben for facelift surgery from nearby communities such as Murray and Sandy, UT, wish to improve:
- Sagging, excess skin of the lower portion of the face
- A tired or aged facial appearance
- Heavy lines and wrinkles around the lower portion of the face
- Excess fat of the neck and jowls
Of course, each patient has his or her own reasons for considering a facelift. Dr. Reuben customizes his surgical plan to fit each individual patient’s needs. He looks forward to working with you to develop the plan that will maximize your results. For women and men who are interested in non-invasive facial rejuvenation options, Dr. Reuben also offers fillers and chemical peels.
The Dr. Reuben Difference
To begin your facelift procedure, Dr. Reuben will create short, minimal incisions in front of and around the ear, blending with the hairline. Dr. Reuben uses sutures to restore skin tightness of the neck, and to correct the fullness of the angle between the jaw and the neck. Then, he will remove any excess skin or tissue of that area in order to provide a smooth and contoured appearance. Once Dr. Reuben is finished, he will close your incisions.
The MACS Lift
Every facelift Dr. Reuben performs is tailored to fit the precise needs of the patient. To that end, he offers a minimal approach for certain patients who have less extensive signs of aging. Called the MACS lift, for minimal access cranial suspension lift, this procedure involves shorter incisions than the traditional facelift for lasting facial rejuvenation.
Your face is your most prominent feature. And you deserve to feel good about it.
In a MACS lift, Dr. Reuben makes short incisions in front of the ear to tighten the skin of the lower two-thirds of the face. This surgical method requires less access to the underlying muscle structures of the face, so it is often easier to combine with other facial procedures such as eyelid and brow surgery or non-surgical treatments such as injectable fillers.
This minimal method often makes for a shorter recovery time, but it is not appropriate for everyone. Dr. Reuben will determine the best route for you during your consultation.
What to Expect After Your Facelift
With advances in facelift techniques, recovery is now quicker and more manageable compared with other, older facelift techniques. While experiences vary, Dr. Reuben’s patients are usually able to return to work within about 3 weeks of their procedure. While swelling and bruising is to be expected, Dr. Reuben’s advanced face lifting techniques allow for less swelling and discomfort than other face lifting methods.Back to Top
