Eyelid & Brow Lift Surgery

You’ve probably heard the expression, “The eyes say it all.” The eyes have the ability to convey a range of emotions, such as joy, sadness and suspicion. And sometimes, without even trying, we may project a certain feeling based on the appearance of our eyes. Puffiness, frown lines and drooping lids can convey a tired or stern look that doesn’t match your true feelings.

The Dr. Reuben Difference

The eyes are so expressive…why not have them express youth and vitality?

Dr. Reuben

Eyelid surgery with Dr. Reuben begins with determining whether your goals require upper or lower surgery, or a combination of the two. To perform upper eyelid surgery, an incision is created in the crease, and excess skin and tissue are removed. For lower eyelid surgery, an incision may be created on the inside of the eyelid, to conceal any scarring. At this time, fat deposits and excess tissue are removed or repositioned to create a smooth under-eye appearance.

Sometimes, in order to achieve optimal eye rejuvenation, Dr. Reuben combines brow lift surgery with eyelid surgery. A brow lift is performed by creating incisions near the hairline and elevating the brows and smoothing forehead wrinkles.

Once Dr. Reuben has made all of the desired corrections to the eye area, he will close the incisions and you can begin your recovery.

What to Expect After Your Eyelid & Brow Surgery

After your surgery, you will be asked to keep your head elevated for a few days. In about a week, your sutures can be removed, and you can return to most of your normal activities. Depending on which procedure or procedures Dr. Reuben performs, recovery time may vary.
